Kansas Heart Hospital 3601 N Webb Rd Wichita, KS Medical Technologist - Laboratory Position # 1 (Hope to fill in early January 2022) Blood Bank Lead Tech/Generalist: Full Time, days Medical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience which includes hospital transfusion service, compatibility testing, inventory management, and antibody identification. We are looking for an individual who has the knowledge and experience to become the lead tech for the hospital transfusion service in this small but busy cardiac specialty hospital. Familiarity with AABB standards, manual and or automated blood bank methods is a required. The position will involve training in all laboratory functions as all techs rotate weekends and holidays. Some phlebotomy is required. This is a unique opportunity to help set up a new transfusion service, including implementation of the blood bank information system, Haemonetics Safetrace Tx. Hours: 06:00 - 14:30 preferred, but may be negotiable depending on staffing complement. Rotate weekends and holidays. No on-call. Qualifications: B.S. MT(ASCP). Position # 2 (Hope to fill March to June 2022): Full Time, evenings Medical Technologist, desiring work as a generalist in this small busy hospital lab. Coagulation, Hematology, automated Chemistry, urinalysis, and blood bank. This is a great opportunity to have the small hospital feel without On-Call. Busy cardiac specialty hospital. This position will perform tasks in all functional areas of the lab. Some phlebotomy is required. Rotate weekends and holidays. Hours: 15:00 - 11:30 after training.
